Stanley A. Strohl was one of six children. As a young man he was hired by General Harry Trexler to work on his Fogelsville farms. General Trexler then transferred Stanley to the Fogelsville plant of Lehigh Portland Cement Co. where he became a steam engineer.
Stanley’s wife, Pearl, was proprietor of a millinery shop in Fogelsville. Here, Stanley began selling and repairing bicycles, selling parts, tires, supplies, and doing some auto repairs.
In 1921, the Cedar Bluff Garage in Allentown, and its Chevrolet franchise was up for grabs and Stanley A Strohl Chevrolet was born!
Stanley’s sons Kenneth, Marvin and Roderick needed to contribute to the business at a young age. Eventually, Kenneth and Roderick took over the business when their father retired. Today, the third Generation, Kenneth’s two sons, Douglas and Ted own and manage the dealership. As always, management places a high priority on continuing technical education and understands that this is an absolute necessity.
